  • Hi Anne. I just wanna ask your opinion about an issue that is happening right now in my country, the Philippines. There was an issue of "sabotage" of a fried chicken meal of Jollibee. A customer ordered chicken meal via grab delivery and what she received was a fried mint green towel. The towel was shaped to look like a fried chicken thigh. Many people are saying that the complainant just wants money from Jollibee. Is it possible to deep fry a breaded towel without noticing that it is indeed a towel? Will the breading keep the towel in shape after dipping onto the hot oil?

  • Ok i love your channel and trust what you say about dos and don'ts of cooking. Someone showed me a video of someone putting a standard coffee pot in a microwave to cook popcorn. I said this was dangerous cus of the metal ring around the bottom of the pot. They said I was wrong because "coffee pots are dishwasher safe" so what are your thoughts. Cus I still say its not safe. Specially because its not being use for its intended purpose.

  • My boyfriend made a chocolate temperer with a crock pot and a dimmer switch. It works well on dark and milk, I think we’d need more food science knowledge to adjust it to work on white. We got the white chocolate to not be melty at room temp, but it was dull. Would love to see you try it! I asked for details on how he did it and he said “It is a mini crockpot with no variable temperature or even an on off switch. You just plug it in and it starts heating up. Attaching the dimmer switch allows you to control the temperature a bit but you still need to keep an eye on it as it kind of just keeps feeding heat into the chocolate. I usually get it up to melting temp then turn it off or turn it way down until the chocolate cools down a bit.”

  • Hi Ann, Professional tempering machines like the one you recreated normally require you to melt the chocolate before you put it in, or to chop it really finely and leave it overnight. There are other tempering machines where you don't need to do that but these are far more complicated with heated and cooling channels the chocolate has to go through before you can use it. Your sculpture is really amazing! Love it!
